Interesting info from the bac dealer last nite. He said at the end of the night the BJ shuffle machines put the cards back into box order. If they can do that, they can do anything! He didn't know if the bac shufflers did the same thing. But he did say he once left the cut card in the bac decks and the machine indicated there was an extra card. Something fun too. It's a new casino a few months old. The bac dealer was on when the table (only one) first opened. The first bet on the table was a $1000 bet on player. The guy won and walked off after the single bet. A good christening! Ellis, you'll like this. The dealer said a known BJ card counter came in last week and lost $40,000. Btw,won 10 units on 2 shoes. Still making some mistakes and getting flustered when things go awry. Tough shoes requiring multiple switches,e.g., going along nicely in neutral then suddenly back to back streaks. |

In my opinion this forum especially the private one is the closest source of knowledge to get even with the casino or better yet beat the casino at their own game since it provides logical systems to force discipline on your play and eliminate the emotional part which causes us all to lose. | |

Here's something I saw happen one day while they were changing cards on the mini-bac table. While we were playing on the bac table with the old cards, the pit boss brought in a new set of 8 decks of cards and put them in the shuffle machine. The dealer finished up the old deck and it was time to take the new cards out of the shuffle machine and begin another game. But the red light on the shuffle machine was on, indicating a problem. The machine hadn't finished it's shuffling cycle. The dealer called the pit boss over and he looked at the digital display on top of the machine to determine what the problem was. The readout indicated there was a card missing. That the machine could count the cards didn't surprise me. I'd seen the readout many times show that 416 cards were being shuffled. But what happened next surprised me. As the pit boss was checking out what was wrong, apparently the machine told him what the missing card was ! This was something I didn't know the shuffle machine could do. The pit boss went over to his desk, and brought back a new deck of cards. He selected a 8 of Diamonds from the deck and put it in the shuffle machine. Then he turned it on and the shuffle machine continued it's shuffling routine. Us players had to wait until it was finished before the new game could be started. That the machine knew it was a 8 of Diamonds missing from the deck, that meant it had a reader capable of recognizing the number and suit of the cards ! And if the shuffle machine can do this, .... what else might it be capable of ? Last edited by samuri; 01-21-2009 at 05:45 AM. |

So you've thrown down the gauntlet, BK. I don't claim to know anything about shuffles or shuffle tracking, but I do have some common sense. Let's take an extreme example: the shuffle machine sets up P to get successive 8,1s and B for successive 10,10s. If you cut the first card out (an 8), P gets a 1,10 and B gets a 10,8. On the second hand, P gets a 1,10 and B a 10,8. Ad infinitum. So all you've done is switch the winner. It's still streaky. Try cutting two or 3 cards and it's still streaky. So maybe not checkmate, but at least check. Your move, BK. And any shufflemeisters out there feel free to weigh in. And feliz navidad y prospero ano nuevo to all from Nuevo Mexico, and from my heritage, gut yuntif. |

Yes the public should learn how to beat the pants off the casino! Oh you would be out of a job if you aren't already! Truth shows through like a ray of sunshine through the lies you propagate. My daddy always told me to be careful what I ask for, I may just get it! I don't need to think I am correct, I have proof I am correct! Consider yourself banned since you weren't man enough or woman enough to put your big girl panties on an deal with your lies.

Gut yuntif means happy holiday. You should know what you're talking about before you disparage someone's heritage. I vote for banning just for his being obnoxious. Anutawackjob. |
